Info about The Drawbacks
When the big Swedish company, these days hardly governmental even by its name, decided to shut down business in the small town by the railroad tracks, new doors were opened for The Drawbacks. Three laid-offs simply seized the opportunity, by force of habit and despite the mouse arm, and a PC was carried to a rehearsal room. The fourth was already temporarily idle at public expense.
Just as much to incorporate a bit of market thinking, as not to feel completely lost in existence, flexibility was appointed key word. Regular working hours was taboo, and so was nourishing food. Late nights and short notice made a steady rock in the stormy ocean of life.
That Nico feel in the backing vocals came as a surprise. No red wine was poured over any pianos, but ridiculous attempts were occasionally made to let some air in. Unexpected notes were struck, but if there's anything you become when recording it's only better. Thomas said so.
After what may have been a week, the computer was carried back through a cloud of fruit flies. Ever since, half made mixes have been around in chosen circles, foreheads have been wrinkled and brows have been knit. Spontaneous outbreaks of handclapping and air tambourining have occurred locally.
