Info about Fontän
Fontän are Jesper Jarold and Johan Melin, whose introvert fusion of rock and chamber music represents a similar kind of musical cross-pollination as Studio, on whose label the duo now release their first progressive 12".
Hawkwind and Harmonia united behind pumping drum machines, celestial strings gone amok, trippy rock, psych-disco from the dark side of the moon - you can call this contemporary dance music for adults whatever you want.
On "Early Morning" Fontän collaborated with Johan Westman who, if his stolen computer with the only copy of his dissertation can be found, will be the world's first Philosophie; Doctor of the Georgian Quintave Scale.
The sprawling musical heritage of Fontän goes all the way back to legendary Swedish prog band Nationalteatern, of which Johan's parents were members. Fontän have over the years, as musicians and producers, been involved with a cross section of Swedish contemporary music spanning rock, funk, prog, metal and straight out pop. The list which consists artists such as Stonefunkers, Silverbullit, Jens Lekman, Uran, El Perro Del Mar, Lykke Li, Studio, Levity Ball, Kenny Håkansson (Kebnekajse), Ensamble Doluri and Niefelheim should confuse even the most experienced music categorisers.
